Royal Sapien is an artist that has been building nicely in recent times. This release is Vol 2 of the "Everyone" remixes and comes on New York based Olaris Records with remixes from Opencloud and Blake Jarrell, the latter developed nicely for a quality trance influenced remix.First up we have the Opencloud remix; this is atmospheric and more on the progressive tip. Very epic and warm chords provide a key element of the remix, definitely a large slice of atmospheric progressive on show h

Jetlag Digital of Germany brings us Federico Giust and his ”It´s Getting Late EP” (featuring remixes by Federico Monachesi, Santiago Deep, Noyd). The It´s Getting Late original mix offers up some real authentic electro percussion which is well balanced with the upfront techy beats. Big stabbing synths drive throughout and give you real lift, so along with the nicely rounded production it makes this techy progressive monster a definite dance floor buster! The Federico Manachesi Remix is a stri

Matthew Dekay has been one of the most respected names in electronic music for several years, and his ability to break down genre barriers has played a major role in his success story. In 2003, DEEP Records released his monster tune "If I Could Fly," which made its rounds all over the world, crushing dancefloors from Tokyo to Cape Town. Now five years later, DEEP brings us a monster remix package, utilizing the minds and expertise of some of the hottest, most sought-after producers in the industry. It's tough picki

Jerome Robins is name you might know firstly as one of the founders and main men from the well-known Release Records outfit. In recent times he has diversified the Release brand into the Release Promo Pool, whilst spending an increased amount of his own time in the studio. This two-part EP can be found on the very respectable and rising Denver label Polytechnic Recordings. Part 1 of "The New Beginnings EP" features the original of Twilight, a James Warren remix, and the Slighter remix of Escap

Sango Music recently released the quirky and excellent "Looking Good" by Santa Fe with an excellent Retroid remix. Very cool indeed! Now the hot Mexican imprint is back with a 2 tracker from Ferdi Schwartz. The title track Vanille is a progressive electro hybrid that kicks off the EP nicely with some cool ‘80s style bassline sounds and bleeps. In addition to that there are some nice delayed piano elements to the track, which definitely add value. The second track, Lecken, is slightly d

The Montenegro label, out of Mexico, is named after the label head and producer Montenegro (not the country!). Many of the releases on the label have come from the main man, although there was a sampler for the 12th release featuring several other artists. It’s slightly disappointing that there is only the one track available on this release, "Magic,". Nonetheless, Magic is definitely a nice, bright track with tight drums, atmospheric melodies and a throbbing bassline, offering recognizable quality. A track at home

1986 - what a year! Mexico 86 World Cup, the Chicago Bears, A-Ha, the C64 and Top Gun, all leading the mainstream for this year of creation. Any track taking that name has a lot to live up to! Bravely taking on the challenge is P8, hailing from Quebec in Canada, on the Italian, Starlight label. The original mix is full of energy with all the basslines and stabs you'd expect from a track titled after a year in the '80s. A lovely arpeggio swirls throughout. Definitely a big big dancefloor number. The Mook

Underbelly Music is a newcomer to the label scene and is based in both Ireland and Australia. Perhaps the A & R is in one location and the label management another - sounds exciting anyway! We are honoured to be able to review the first release on the label from Aussie, Tony Stevens, aka Kultrun. The second release will come from fast rising Maine, USA native Jairus Miller.First up in the two-track EP is the interestingly titled Busty Nurse, a novel name for a progressive house track indeed! This is a neat metallic progr

”The Others EP” from German progressive label, Jetlag Digital, comes from Marcelo Vasami, another notable artist from a growing number of Argentinean progressive producers. The title track, The Others, luckily isn’t as spooky as the film of the same name! It's a methodical progressive builder with sounds and sweeps added in a subtle manner as the track progresses, a dark progressive number, solid enough, but nothing out of the ordinary.Talk to Me is similar to The Others in its arrang

Mexican imprint, Kansak Recordings, a sub-label of the well known BIT Records Mexico label, drops its 9th release coming from Italian artist, Matteo Monero, featuring an original and 4 remixes of the title track "To the Next."To the Next is a smooth progressive number with some old school progressive elements, somewhat similar to various tracks found on the early Renaissance compilations. That shouldn't put you off at all, as the track is well structured and works really well. The first remix comes

Proton has surely carved itself a wide path over the past couple of years, earning a reputation for bringing smooth, cutting edge music to the table. After the undying success of the Proton Music imprint, Sam Packer introduced Proton Ltd, a sister imprint which turns out to be an outlet for their grittier and more tech-fueled music. The ever-talented Lea-D takes the stage for Ltd's latest offering. This is the "Lea-D - We Play EP."We Play wastes no time laying down the groove, as clear kick dr

Officials working at the Guiness Book of World Records should be keeping an eye on Denver, as it seems Polytechnic Recordings may be after setting a new record for releasing the most EP's over a six-month span. The relatively new label has had it's fair share of highs and lows in it's first full year, and their latest offering from T-Lectual stays true to their inconsistent nature. This is "T-Lectual - Shrink Interrupted."Polytechnic did one thing right with this release, by signing Sam Ball o

Ukraine based imprint Really Really Big Records releases its 10th, by way of the ”Daybreak EP” from US based DJ/producers Daniel Mahuad and Bruce Gibbons. The title track Daybreak is a smart progressive number, a nice tune to bridge between a warm up and a more peak-time set. The atmospheric and melodic side of the track would also work well for a podcast or radio broadcast.Secondly we have The World and Dreams, an epic name for a cool driving progressive number. A warm arpeggio simmers in the back

The latter is the featured artist on this 3 tracker and hails from Argentina. The first track of the EP is called Believers and features distorted vocals coupled with solid bass stabs and a relentless melody. The vocals make it quite a distinctive tune, a good start to the EP for sure.

Biologik delivers another weapon of mass destruction for Proton. This label, judging by recent releases alone, can do no wrong.Motion Theory brings us beautiful gentle melodies that sear along under the deep dark backline, even strings fit in nicely with the glitchy sounds running throughout, peak or near peak time monster.I Can Feel The Light again showcasing that glitchy progressive sound that seems very fresh to me, winding into a solid tribal rhythm, definitely a building block track.Lib

This latest edition of the venerable “Masters Series” puts forth plenty of tasty and engaging tunes as Satoshi moves us through several different moods and sound styles; some jazzy, some a little funky, a few vocal, others techy or proggy, and in many instances a combination of these elements. But certainly the mix is on the deep tech-house side of things overall. The additional loops and chords Tomiie has layered in bring this work to that next level of DJing, where the line between unique production, and track selection are blurred.

Audio Therapy looks to be reaching out and taking on the freshest names of the progressive scene, clearly their eyes are wide open right now and no doubt they will be grooming the next huge names of the future.Jay Lumen gets his chance on a label as big as they come, and deservedly so. I was a huge supporter of his "Clear Memories" track, so it's not surprising that this has been snapped up. Regulars here at ProgHouse™ should recognise him, as he's had releases featured on the site for quite a while now. This ne

This one is sure to have them reaching for the lasers. Expect this one to be huge.Moravia is the sweeter, upbeat track in the package, delivering a more euphoric, feelgood sound and is sure to deliver wonderful results from a pre-peak crowd.Pannonia is the more subtle, brooding dancefloor bomb that incorporates some beautiful synths over
