Looking for some Dark House Mon Aug 13, 2007 1:15 pm

Hello,

I don't know if the genre really exists, but I'm looking for Dark House albums and tracks.

To give you an idea of what I'm looking for and what I'm calling Dark House:

- CD2 from the album Balance 002 mixed by Kasey Taylor.
- No Nonsense mixed by Gab Olivier

Is there anybody who can give me some titles of tracks or albums in this genre? I would really appreciate it. It looks like there isn't much of this stuff out there.

Greets,

Rizm

"dark house" is the genre of the past about 5-7 years ago icon_cry.gif

Its still a great genre just not as promident as it once was, take a look at
anthony papps resolution
dj hardware let the drums speak
any of satoshi tomiies live sets of late 2000 -early 2003

but for current producers might be a little harder to find
mixes on here try
dj emeriq
hyline
dj tod
reffender

just for starts check out thier tracklistings for stuff you like search those artists, then search those labels see who else they have and so on...pretty much you'll be fishing for hours but you'll find what your looking for

That's right. I first heard it on Balance 002. Great genre. To bad you won't find it any more.

I already got this album. Great album but not as dark as Balance 002.

Checkout Pako & Fedrik's "World in Progress" mixed cd
thats a wicked dark prog house set. similar to uncle Kasey's Balance 002 which is one of my all time fav mixed cd's!! woohoo!! go Kasey!!

another classic dark prog house cd is "Directions" mixed by Chris Gainer from Darko. This is back from 2002 and still rocking.

While you at it, also check out Bedrock Presents (Mixed By Chris Fortier), thats another one of my all time fav cd's.. awesome seamless dark prog house all the way!!! tentalise your senses! icon_smile.gif

if you are looking for current tracks, try what Adjust is releasing. Sorry for the shameless plug, but BP Zulauf's remix of my "Potassium" was pretty dark and almost sinister.

oh and Ali's stuff (Erphun) is also dark icon_smile.gif look him up.

Danny Tennaglia - Triballoween will blow your mind - amazing, dark, sexy on the tribal side. Grooviest dark s*** I've heard. icon_twisted.gif

btw - I'm guessing this is circa 2001 in Japan, but if anybody has more data about this set (place recorded, date) please let me know...I have not been able to find too much about it, quite a rare one actually.
ping me also if anybody wants the set.
