i have a bcd 2000 laying around that ive been playing with for a while now but when you hook into a mixer/pa it has a interference signal....tried grounding it....any other ideas?

I assume that you are plugging the BCD into a laptop? If so, the ground loop is probably coming from the laptop and not the BCD. Do you still get the ground loop if the laptop is not plugged in?

havent tried that yet....if it still does it do i have any solutions either way?

If it's the computer, the fix is very simple. It's the ground pin that's causing the problem. The solution is to go to the hardware store and get a ground lift. It's basically got a three prong side that you plug the laptop into, and then it goes to a double-prong.

didnt work.....in looking at the power adapter for the laptop the converter it's self is grounded....but from there to the compooter isnt.....so now how the hell do i grond the laptop?

You can also get a ground loop isolator from RadioShack or somewhere like that:

ive got the bcd3000 now. took it straight from the box and was mixing within 10 minutes. great piece of kit. you just have to get used to how it feels then you are laughing.

as vink suggests get a ground loop isolator but be careful when travelling through airports as it looks kinda suspicious. i keep mine boxed up when travelling just in case i get pulled.

I was looking at this, and it just doesnt look like it would be very friendly to use mobily - and it isnt asthetically very pleasing either lol

That was back when I used Traktor, but now that I have made the switch over to Ableton I dont think this would help much now, so I think I might go with the Evolution UC-33e
