DubSpot announces the implementation of a massive
Ableton Live 8 curriculum update. Included are
3 new advanced levels (4.5.6) of Live 8 training, plus an overhaul and update of Levels (1.2.3), injecting the
APC40 on Day 1. Most significant, the school is proud to introduce the
DubSpot Certificate Program, which awards a
DubSpot Producers Certificate in Ableton Live after the successful completion of all 6 levels. The new certificate program affirms DubSpot’s commitment to the high-quality educational experience they provide their students.
The most recent update is also DubSpot’s most expansive to date, involving hundreds of hours and half a year of development by their top-notch instructors, including

DubSpot’s Live 8 U.S. Session Tour stop in NYC, they are releasing a series of videos featuring
Richie Hawtin and
Ambivalent in one of the many great presentations that occurred over the weekend. They discussed various aspects of their careers, from production and performance techniques to finding new motivation and more.

Live 8 U.S. Session LA Dates Announced: The 3rd leg of the tour will be
Los Angeles, over the weekend of
October 17th & 18th.
Kid Beyond is already confirmed to present, as well as
Barry Cole (Spot Music, Blue Mountain Publishing) with many more to come soon. The 4th stop will be in
Austin, Texas on
November 14th & 15th. As usual, a selection of DubSpot’s expert instructors will be on hand for both events. A new tour website is coming as well.
New Ableton Live 8 Video Tutorial: - Dynamic Dubstep Drums & Beats
Back home in New York, DubSpot instructor Mike Hatsis has continued upon the success of his Dubstep wobble video tutorial to present a second installation, this time detailing drum and beat creation in the genre.

The school is also announcing the creation of an entirely new class, called
Essential Music Foundation (EMF). Masterminded by DubSpot instructor DJ Kiva, in association with Mixing & Mastering instructor Daniel Wyatt and DubSpot associate Samuel Buonaugurio Jr., the new course aims to give students a rock solid foundation for a career in composition and production by examining the fundamentals of good musicianship. This class is an incredibly valuable addition to the DubSpot curriculum; more information is available on the blog.
