I currently DJ using my laptop and Traktor.
I'm about to upgrade my hardware and get a new midi and soundcard.

I have a dilemma.

Should I buy a Vestax VCI-100 + soundcard and carry on using Traktor.
Or wait for the Vestax VCI-300 (soundcard included) to come out and start using Serato ITCH?

As with most people who have used Traktor over extended periods to DJ with I've had issues with my laptop overheating and the program stuttering. Serato software I've been told is much lighter on computer memory and more resilient. I've never used Serato software so have no idea how good it is.

Stick with Traktor and get a VCI-100 or get a VCI-300 at the end of June and starting learning ITCH?

Does anyone got an opinion icon_question.gif

I use TORQ and I love it is this ITCH just the next edition of Traktor?? I really don't have a problem with my laptop overheating or much lag and I'm running a 1.2 Ghz G4 with only 768 ram with is next to the minimum requirements for running TORQ. Why are you having overheating issues?? The auto beatmatch on torq is decent but can often vary between 1/16th of a beat either way which isn't noticeable unless your doing longer transitions. I would look into the accuracy of it if that is the main feature your desiring
