Hi guys, just registered for the site today, mainly because i've recently found prog house! i could go through all the reasons why its so awesome, but you all already know why

SO basically, im into the 'bigger' side of house, always have been the one to hear songs like swedish house mafia's - one, before it became the biggest commercial song blah blah. But with prog house, i literally know nothing except from the stuff i find when looking at new vinyl releases, or the odd one or two elsewhere. What i'm looking for is a little bit of help and direction, so that i can find some BIG (BIIIIG) prog tunes to mix.

My favourite tunes atm are (old i know)
Phazing - dirty south ft rudy
and
louder than words - afrojack ft david guetta

i know these are quite commercial...but like i said, i dont know very much prog house, but love the huge feel to these tunes, so need some guidance!

First of all welcome to the community. I will try to give you some advice.

Try to find a DJ that plays the "big" tunes you like and he/she will expose you to more tracks of the same nature. At the moment I would recommend listening to Tiesto's Club Life and Matt Darey's Nocturnal & Nocturnal Sunshine. They both play a varitey of house tunes. Also, take the tracks that you like and find out what Labels they are on. Most Labels will stick with a certain type of music. That way you can follow their releases. Take beatport.com for example. If you register there you can choose to follow producers and labels. Then as new tracks are released there is a section in the bottom left that will notify you. This will help you stay on top of the game.
