Hi, since I'm posting on this page I'm obviously a new member. Recently I've discovered the artist deadmau5 and wanted more music like him. So, I Googled "Progressive House" (That's what someone told me the genre was called) and came to find this site. In hopes of discovering new music for myself, I joined this site and here i am .
Also, I have been interested in making some of my own music. Any suggestions on programs, equipment, etc for a beginner?

welcome fellow Mau5 head! I love the guy's music as well. you should check out nedjeddine in the community here. I'm really digging on his stuff. He's got a nice clean prog sound. There are of course many others here that are also great. Check out the Tracks section to check some of our tracks out. And like Kuzi said, check out the producers lounge. There is a vast amount of info on Daws and Vsts in discussion there. Personally, I cut my teeth on FL Studio. It is a great "beginer" to advanced DAW. I'm still using to create my loops and etc. anyway, welcome!
