Hey everyone. New to this community. But a perfect platform for music lovers to unite . Been mixing for only 5-6 months now. That too, with keyboard and a mouse. Always looking for good progressive songs to put in my mix though.
Would appreciate it if you check the mixes out and give an honest feedback (critics welcome)

Welcome ot the community Kruger! I will check out your mix today. If you haven't done so yet, post your mix in the "mixes" area. You should also do yourself a favor a buy a midi controller to do your mixing. Something like the Hercules RMX is affordable and has a built in 2 channel soundcard. I use this and I love it! If you already have a 2 channel soundcard, Numark makes a controller called the Stealth (I think) that might be a little cheaper because it doesn't have the soundcard added. You should look into it.

Yeah I was looking into midi controllers a few days back. Gonna start buying equipment slowly. Fresh grad, so still unemployed at the mo. As soon as the paychecks start coming in, so too will the equipment :p
I use Traktor pro and I dont think Hercules is compatible with it. It comes with a Virtual DJ software. Will def look into it though

Having problems listening at work. I'll have to try at home.
I use Traktor Pro as well. The RMX is compatible. Most Softwares are compatible most controllers.

Got some different genres mixes. Progressive house, minimal, club etc.
I used Hercules once and found it extremely user friendly. Is it compatible with Traktor Pro or Traktor LE ? b/c the Traktor LE has some drawbacks (no set recording, minimum affects etc)

Yes, Traktor Pro is compatible. There is a mapping file you can download that programs all the buttons to run with Traktor Pro. That is what I use with my RMX. I used to used VDJ 5 Pro. Traktor is a lot better.

yeah no doubt. Traktor is much better than Virtual. Can you give me the download link for the mapping file / give me the name so I can download it? (For when / If i get the RMX )
Also, which site do you use for getting the latest songs ? I use alldj.org, but kinda bored of that now.
