Jetlag Digital
( Germany)
jetlagdigital.com
“A jetlag is a physiological condition which is a consequence of alterations to the circadian rhythm, like resulting from transmeridian travel as on a jetplane.”
In other words, a jetlag occurs when traveling, when entering new timezones, new countries, and new continents. That’s what Shane – DJ, producer and founder of the label Jetlag Digital – decided to do after more than a decade of spinning his unique style of progressive house within Europe. Driven by the urge to see the whole world and to experience all the different musical influences from across the globe, Shane first went to Asia in 2005 to play in all the major clubs in China, Hong Kong or Thailand. Next was the United States of America, where he flew in early 2008 for yet another club-tour. Traveling, djing, experiencing whole new sides of culture and music, extending our views and breaking down the boundaries of the ordinary – because we think that seeing one small part of the globe is just not enough. As an open-minded part of the world’s music community, we don’t want to limit ourselves to a local scene. We like to see the bigger picture, and we like to share this with you. Out of all these views and experiences the idea for Jetlag Digital finally emerged. Today, Jetlag Digital is run by Shane and his friend and partner Hyline, who joined the label a short time after its formation. Hyline is a DJ and producer himself, and brings in all his experience from various projects like Mannover or his radioshow Adult Music on Friskyradio. Jetlag Digital shall be an innovative music label, bringing together all the globe’s different styles of music – digitally, and faster than ever. No matter from which part of the world, all our artists’ styles and special influences can be enjoyed on our label; A truly international experience, like living within a never-ending digital jetlag.

German label Jetlag Digital puts forward this new 5 track "Jet Stream" EP, with plenty of character, from producer & live-act hybrid, Oliver Morgenroth.
Jet Stream starts with a dark and funky, live breaks approach. This is the attitude and it's fresh, long gone are digital melodies, you are entering amazon terrain. In fact, glimpses of melody approach for the conclusion, almost saved then forgotten. Still this being said, a tribal and housey sound selection with progr.... 4/5 [ Simon Latham]
