Outside the Box Music was launched in 2006 and is the creative outlet of Dutchman Eelke Kleijn. Besides being a home base for his own productions, Outside the Box Music aims to release quality music from upcoming as well as established producers. In terms of music the label is as diverse as its name suggests, many releases not being easy to pigeonhole into a certain style but instead cross the conventional borders between them.
With releases and remixes by the likes of Dualtone (Johan Vermeulen / Jermain Hatusupy from Fine Taste & Infinitize), Kosmas Epsilon, Nick Hogendoorn, Roger Martinez, Sebastian Davidson and head-honcho Eelke Kleijn himself, the label has built up a pretty varied sound and identity. DJ Support has come from many different corners, including Hernan Cattaneo, Jimmy van M, Anthony Pappa, Fish Go Deep, Paul van Dyk and Nick Warren. Outside the Box Music is slowly but steadily becoming a well known name in quality house music.

Thirteen is certainly not an unlucky number for us here at Outside the Box Music. With three amazing originals, Neos Deos (consisting of Da-Milio, Les Luca and Berry Le Funk) have a great debut release on the label. Their sound is not easy to pinpoint in a certain direction and can probably best be described as intelligent techno. 'Dazed' is based on a haunting organ sound that evolves throughout the track. Clever breaks and edits keep the track very much alive and ever interesting. Promitto starts off in similar fashion, but stands out in its glitchy drum work and dark mood. Definitely one for late at night. Camelion is more techhouse influenced and reminds us of the Plastic City type house, but slightly darker and in minimalistic fashion.
As residents at the NU! Events, held at the well known Lexion venue near Amsterdam, Neos Deos have the perfect opportunity to test and play out their music to the crowd. Watch out formore Neos Deos music in the near future, including a remix of one of our upcoming releases.
