Ready Mix Records proudly announces the birth of a new series that expresses its love for the global music community dubbed simply… I LOVE...

We continue to push the conceptual boundaries of our carefully selected material and imagery. The passion for freedom in creativity drives the team to showcase once again some stunning music and artwork with the launch of this new series.

I LOVE… pays homage to specific geographic locations around the globe by selecting a few producers from among the handfuls, who have helped the global music industry evolve and remain at the cutting edge. Ready Mix will export their local vibes and beats in hopes of diffusing the united musical front for all to share.

Setting the stage for the first offering in this project is the Hungarian capital.

I LOVEBUDAPEST... has rallied the finest sound that could be summoned from a hotbed of very inspired, cultured and talented producers that have emerged out of this vibrant European city. Whether just budding on the scene or having received acclaim in recent years, these artists are everything we love about Budapest.

The Moti Brothers, Norbert and Daniel Motolai, were approached for the original title, and were eager to sequence a track that embodied the sounds of their capital city and its inhabitants. This young duo did not falter on the opportunity to present a rich melodic composition that set an impeccable standard for this project. The original mix is an interlude of ambient elements and sweeping atmospherics carefully layered atop a lush and soothing bassline.

With the goal to propel a global musical stir, another duo could not be excluded from adding their imprint on Budapest. Yvel & Tristan have been featured on KISS100 FM and on GU compilations gaining a reputation for the quality of their productions and achievements. Their remix of I LOVE BUDAPEST is modified with unique complexity and hints of minimal intrigue. It blossoms with hypnotic synth elements and other intangibles that are intricately woven and drift in and out of the audio tapestry.

Also involved on this project is one of Hungary's brightest up and coming DJ-producers, Mannel. Having recently shared deck time alongside all the big hitters at Pacha, Mannel is by far known for his amazing ability to structure music as a sound engineer and for his numerous tracks, that are licensed to compilations and labels such as Renaissance and Shinichi. Extending the intro, Mannel embarks on a journey towards the cerebral, managing to create a feeling of endless space filled with emotive intelligence and fueled by an energetic electrical charge.

I LOVE BUDAPEST… features a third duo that are already signed to Ready Mix Records and have solidified themselves as quality producers. Faces (Laszlo Csak and Gyorgy Meszaros) have a knack for being able to lock into an after-hours atmosphere with their driving rhythm, keeping it deep and rolling, with a punching bassline rendering it a bit darker than the original. A much more energetic interpretation that faithfully maintains the distinctive vibe of the Original, while increasing intensity.

Rounding out this project is Leel-Ossy András who puts forth the final remix as Downkill. Showing maturity in his percussive beat arrangements, this version will cater to the progressive purists who enjoy melodies and basslines with a touch of epic thrown in for size.

Ready Mix Records shares Hungary with you in I LOVE BUDAPEST...

Keep your eyes and ears open for the next presentation of the I LOVE... series.

» A new concept is debuted by Ready Mix, showcasing a city and its artists under the title "I Love..." - in this case "I Love Budapest". The original is where prog at it's best for me - a lush, melodic trip which aims to be great music first and a dance floor tune second - both of which the original does in style. It's refreshing to hear such a musical release which also has the energy to rock a dance floor without resorting to clichés. The first remix comes from Yvel & Tristan who strip things down to a really nice and minimal groove with spaced out clicks and snippets. Faces' remix is a more peak-time style with a driving rhythm and bass-heavy synth line. It still lets up for an epic breakdown before dropping back into the groove. Two more remixes are included in the full release so check it out.

1. I Love Budapest (Original Mix)
2. I Love Budapest (Yvel & Tristan Remix)
3. I Love Budapest (Mannel's Remix)
4. I Love Budapest (Faces Remix)
5. I Love Budapest (DownKill's Remix)
