Swordtail Records is a new label out of down under Australia. The label aims to bring you some of the freshest progressive sounds from Australian producers and also from others around the globe. With Australia not having many progressive based labels at the moment, we here at Swordtail thought it was time to try and sort that problem out.

Initial releases and remixes will see acts such as Native, Trafik, 4Mal, Retrobyte and Daniel Gregory unleashing some deep, twisted and atmospheric sounds. The label will begin with some upfront digital releases available from a variety of digital stores and in the future will also be bringing out some top line compilations and singles in CD format.

All releases will come with a variety of mixes to cover off different styles going from Electro through to Trance. Many of the releases will bring new and exciting vocal talents to the forefront. If you have any tracks that you think we might be interested in, then simply visit the contact page and drop us a link to your tune. In the mean time, we hope you enjoy what Swordtail Records has to offer the wonderful world of music.

SR15 Various Artists - Audio Park Remix EP (May 6th, 2008)
Release Date: May 6th, 2008
» User Rating: 3.6/5

» Top Rank: Reached #9 on May 8th, 2008
This release brings in some massive remixes of tracks taken from the Swordtail Records Audio Park CD release. Anomy's take on Zuna is a supreme piece of tech house with a laid back vibe to it. Lo Tide's work on Jerico's track brings the bpm way down and slides in a nice downtempo mix. Python then delivers some deep house with lush pads for his interpretation of SATeN's tune. Next up is Jacco@Work's rework of 4Mal's stormer and this mix leaves no one behind, picking up all in it's path. Sancho & E-Lation change things up a bit with a more percussion oriented take on Native's track. And to finish things off we have Nas Horizon's remix of Zuzaten which is a very strong piece of progressive trance with plenty of light melodies to bring the tune to life.

1. Sancho & E-Lation - Zuna (Anomy Remix)
2. Jerico - Spiritcatcher (Lo Tide's Spiritfilled Mix)
3. SATeN - Just Another Memory (Python Remix)
4. 4Mal - Path Is Clear (Jacco@Work's Empty Road Mix)
5. Native - Shifting Landscapes (Sancho & E-Lation Remix)
6. Jacco@Work - Zuzaten (Nas Horizon Remix)

Featured Label
This week's featured label:
It would take two years of preparations and collaborations before everything would be ready. By the end of 2007, Italian independent dance music label, M:touch Records, was born.

This young label has many purposes, and it aspires to obtain a space among other dance labels. But certainly its most important goal of all is to discover new sounds and new talents in electronic music, and to give them the highest visibility possible.
