Moshing Idiots - Mosh it (Remixes) (Quimika Records)
Release Date: November 5th, 2007
Reviewed: 9/10

Quimika records pushes out a nice little remix package as thier second release. One from dynamic argentinian producer Nicholas van Orton and the other coming from Quimika Records head honcho Federico Guist.

Federico gets dirty as he brings you a twisted rendition of the original. Greeting you with a solid kick and trippy overlay of acid-tech influenced mechanic melodies, Guist gets to it bringing an aggressive drum production as the track carries you into an altered state of consciousness. As mosh it continues its steady groove, simple stringed synths mix well with an echo effected drum production creating an eerie break before returning to its original groove. A well built track but not intended for peak time play but will help construct transitional grooves.

Nicholas van Orton delivers a much more driving remix with his filtered overlays and climbing drum production. A pulsating bass drives you even further down his corridor progressive grooves as an ascension of stabs and melodies draws you into a spacious break before launching you back onto his kinetically orchestrated tune.

Overall two fantastic remixes that can be worked into a multiple of sets, great potential from this young and upcoming label
