Datensi - Epic Man (Elektrotribe records)
Release Date: December 10th, 2007
Reviewed: 4/5

Albeit a bit older this release is well deserving of some major attention, but certainly may not be for everyone. A well crafted well produced collection of quirky original minimal techno tracks from young producer Datensi, out of Greece.

Epic Man (Original) is a solid minimalistic like track with a soothing bassline and clever quirky synth structure making it a simply interesting one to ponder, which is assuredly, is exactly what the creator wanted. The potential is clear for this young talent.

Epic Man (Moog Conspiracy mix) takes it a step further back into minimal techno deconstruction, and some experimentation. This track isn't for everyone, and does get a bit annoying, but the right placement for those tripped out late nighters will keep them guessing what it is the world's all about.

Epic Woman (Blond mix) is not for everyone with it's very minimalistic techno attitude, and squealing synth lines. The least favorite on this EP, but it is a nice experiment in sounds and well produced.

Epic Woman (Dusky mix) is a more moderate minimal techno, a crossover type of track with flexibility to use in different ways. This type of uniqueness begs for layering bya clever DJ for a modern dance floor or home set.

Overall this is a well produced EP from Datensi, with clever production skills and a show of talent from this young Greek producer.
