Soren LaRue - Bastille (Protium Music)
Release Date: February 28th, 2008
Reviewed: 3.5/5
User Rating: 3.9/5

Soren LaRue - Bastille starts with the original, spooky sounding has generally a nice feel the intro doing all the right things nice bit of width on time progressive number, the lead gotta say tho wasnt working for me. But with regard to the track construction its not far off.

This follows with real promise DJ Thee-o Mix has alot more substance and wisely chosen sound.
The note are sparse and well selected, still carrying the theme yet with the right attitude.
This dont really bang or kick yet it glides around and the background noises here are right as it should be.

Third in is High torque Mix, this has way more poke the bass powers around and there is a nice tightness about this drum kit. The bass plods around and the progressive keeps coming.
Sounding like a tube station on acid, this is as protencious as it can come, a DJ takes no risk mid set with this and can be used to transgress from a lighter set to a bit more poke.

Finally Impact Mechanics Remix this goes a bit nuts, real power and some club passion in too. An invitation for the bomb to drop, you know its coming but you get lost in the whole swing of the thing, beware if you go to near a dancefloor you might go into overdrive.
The Industrial touch is subtle but immense, a breather in thrown in midway but then off it goes again. Although the bomb never drops truth be told you just kinda get lost in this anyway.

Well, there you go, a widely packed pack, gently in and hard out some good stuff here, there might be more to come from Soren LaRue so i will defo keep an eye out for that.
