It's been a good month for releases so far. Plenty of variety about and this release from Don Stone comes complete with a selection of quality remixes on offer.
The original is a deep tech house track that slowly builds with baselines and riffs to a cut up vocal sample. Built over a solid tribal beat it's well arranged and original. In fact it's hard to compare it to anything else at the moment which works in its favor I feel.
While there are plenty of remixes provided on this pack none of them seem to top the original for me. They all have a sense of quality but don't offer too much to get excited about.
Mostly the remixes stick close to the tribal house blueprint which is fine but we could have done with a little more variety. The pick of the bunch is the reworking from Christian Scott which grooves along very effectively.
My advice is to stick with the original and you can't go wrong.
