Don Stone - The Love (SINsation Sound)
Release Date: June 26th, 2008
Reviewed: 4/5
User Rating: 3.7/5

The Love Original Mix has that very interesting deep feeling, almost tribal and intriguing, with some unexpected breaks and interesting congas and percussion drawings. The synth fits very well and is blended with the effects just right. By the 6th minute the sense of monotony comes and additional elements would be desirable. Overall a great production, good sound and atmosphere.

Rob Regan's Remix has added deep down bass and 70's background synths, which gave this track a bit of a different direction. I felt that the break was too long and on the ensuing phrase, there were no additional sounds or melodies that could have brought a fresh mood. Good remix, but not full enough.

Impostors in the Digital World started in the same way as the two previous ones, but the bass parts are much more interesting and jumping, adding some new backward effects, giving us the club atmosphere. That bass at the break, which led to those very fine short voices, is the most important part of the remix. Then again the same sound went through the rest of the remix and gave us a very long and monotonous ending. Still good work, though.

Kwality Remix started as a minimal and then went to some fine techno, with interesting percussion pictures and cute EQ work. The break was almost the GU circa 1998 feeling and then after the break Kwality showed some respect to the clubbers, giving them the chance to dance their asses off. Very enjoyable and pleasant, but the ending itself could be a bit more DJ friendly.

Jon Sweetname, the name itself sound tasty already, so is the remix. Finding some totally new directions and sounds, there is a bit of everything, even the slight touch of industrial, which is always fresh and teasing. I have noticed there is no break in the remix though. I still believe the break helps to understand the track better, giving you the opportunity to judge, when the most of the instruments are resting, so after the break you can hear them as the new ones.

AP has added some fine piano parts and the atmosphere has changed in a good way, redirecting us into some almost Ibiza atmosphere. Very dynamic and interesting remix, although the taste of monotony is still here, and what happens to the ending?

Overall a good release that could find a lot of potential listeners and DJs. Good luck!!!
