Kosmas Epsilon & Somnus Corp - Buenos Tiempos
(Groovecollection Black)

Since 2004, Kosmas Epsilon has been one of the most consistent and innovative artists in the industry. So when he joined forces with Beto Rodriguez, Gabriel Sordo and Jorge Lopez, better known as Somnus Corp, a bit of musical magic took place. The end result was "Kosmas Epsilon & Somnus Corp- Buenos Tiempos," released on Groovecollection Black, a label synonymous with quality.
Buenos Tiempos (Original Mix) is easy to describe in one word: exquisite. This track is driven by an absolutely luscious synth, that grabs the listener and sends them on a journey through Fantasyland.
Supported by a nice quirky bassline, and even classical piano rhythms, Buenos Tiempos screams "Summer!" at the top of it's lungs, and grabs your attention for the duration. Pure progressive, with a very slight hint of disco'esque flavor. Word of advice when listening to this beauty: make yourself a pina colada, just close your eyes, and enjoy the ride.
Kosmas Epsilon's Dub is everything we've come to expect from this progressive guru. The dub has a little more of a bouncy, "housey" feel, driven by a nice repetitive dull synth, and a chuggy bassline. This is the one you want to play in the dark club, contrary to the original, which begs to be played outdoors. The dub is an excellent building track, that will be attractive to those who prefer a more housey, slightly tech-influenced progressive sound.
The Audionova & Electrobios remix compliments this release absolutely perfectly. They've done an excellent job at fusing tech and progressive house elements, and really turned in something special. This one starts things off with some nasty synth stabs and a filtered kick drum, and gradually works it's way to the bassline, which sets forth the nice groovy rhythm that remains throughout the rest of the track. Towards the end, things start feeling a bit more progressive, but those techy stabs and chops lay dominant in the background, making this one very tasty for the tech house crowd. It still manages to pull off a progressive sound, which is what will make this remix a great success.
So, all in all, Buenos Tiempos is a superb release. It is truly difficult to pick an all-out winner between the 3, they're all top-notch choons. It all comes down to individual taste.
Buenos Tiempos should be an anthem for the remainder of the summer. The only things missing from this summer blockbuster are the little umbrellas and the straws.

"Original Mix...Super track for those moments when lifting the crowd..lovely spacious sounds with a slight edge of disco...great track! 'Kosmos Epsilon Dub'....I've yet to see this guy turn out a bad track, his productions are brilliant, here he gives you a more of a techy edge than the original, has a wicked hypnotic groove going on, again super work from Kosmos!'Audionova & Electobio Remix...Slightly deeper that the other two but great for making that transition into darkness in your set's..another cracking remix. Full 5/5 for me and charting in my August Charts....great pakage and productions from all involved!!" - 5.0 / 5
