Cid Inc - The Grill (featuring remixes by Victor Hugo, Inkfish, Lank)

Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc, is certainly no new-comer to the industry. As one half of the now infamous group Mashtronic, he has consistently produced music that has been widely supported by nearly every big-shot DJ across the globe. Cid Inc brings to us a massive release entitled "The Grill" on the Tolerant imprint.
Upon first glance, this package looked promising. And upon listening, it certainly didn't disappoint. The Grill (original mix) is a finely tuned progressive monster, that aims to please, and succeeds in its mission. A nice, subtle synth-line is introduced immediately, accompanied by a crystal clear kick, and repetitive stabs that grab your attention immediately. Once the main hook synth gets going, you know you're in for a ride. "The Grill" has an assertive build that leaves you begging for more. Also, it translates very well on the dancefloor.
Inkfish turns in a stunning remix, which can be described using one word: TWISTED! Inkfish always brings us top-notch productions, and this remix is absolutely stunning. It’s a bit more on the techy side, and the dark and dirty bassline is just the icing on the cake. Inkfish does an amazing job at twisting things up, and giving “The Grill” an extremely unique and relatively untapped sound.
Next up to the plate is Victor Hugo, who twists the energy knob up several notches, adding a driving filtered bassline, and a smorgasbord of synth stabs and bleeps. It's a monstrous peak hour remix that will destroy a dancefloor with no problem. The breakdowns are mesmerizing, and uplifting, and the energy just explodes once the kick is re-introduced. This mix is gritty, groovy and powerful; you certainly can't argue with that combo.
>Lank offers up another great interpretation, using a plethora of bleeps, samples, vinyl scratches and effects to really flip the script. Lank uses these gritty and unique elements to build things up to an epic climax, once he introduces Cid's hypnotizing hook line. This is a solid remix; that borrows from many different genres and really makes a powerful statement.
Simply put, this is a huge release that should be in any serious DJ's repertoire. “The Grill” emits quality from all corners, with something for everyone.
