This release is a meeting of several progressive and tech minds, with Nosmo vs Kris B, Ben Brown, Mazi and not to mention Global Underground's Pako & Frederik involved in this particular package. The label providing us with this release is Nosmo vs Kris B's very own Nightshade Records, based in Chicago. The La Cocina Original is a tight little house number with techy stabs and an interesting vocal cut up at various points during the mix. There's a nice dark lounge feel to this mix. The La Cocina Mazi remix is something for an early set or to bridge a gap for a warm up DJ to bring in the headliner. Neat and tidy stuff, well structured, and definitely playable. Pako & Frederik are a duo based in Holland, who have been at the forefront of many underground trends in recent times. Renowned for their melodic progressive and breaks sound, this mix sees them head off into more tech-house based waters. Again a tight remix and definitely a good DJ tool. 3 solid mixes, each slightly different, but all playable in various dancefloor scenarios. Enjoy!
