Neon Logic - The Fallout EP
(Bellarine Recordings)
Release Date: September 26th, 2008
Reviewed: 4/5
User Rating: 3.9/5
Melbourne based Bellarine Recordings have been releasing "all that is cool" underground music for a number of years, this release being the 122nd! The label release roll call has amounted to an A-Z of progressive, tech and breaks artists, with the likes of COU Muzik, 4 Mal, Section 75 and Paul Bowen featuring in recent times. This release comes from Neon Logic, and 4 tracks form "The Fallout EP."
Track one is called Gravitas and rolls along nicely in a techy direction leading to some nice chimes mid drop-out. Something for a lounge set for sure.
Second up we have Sonic Bitch which is something you might associate with a label like Soma. Nice tech action, which could border on techno if played at a higher tempo.
Thirdly we have Path of Most Resistance which has more atmospheric elements and is probably the favourite of the 4 tunes on offer.
Finally, the EP is completed by The Sword, a neat progressive track with tight drums and growling bass stabs.
In summary this EP is certainly something that showcases the talents of Neon Logic, and with 4 tracks on show, it's definitely a case of quality and quantity!
