Bionic Rockers - Code 0320

Following in the footsteps of Aldrin, Hiroshi Watanabe and DJ 19, Bionic Rockers are the latest talent to emerge from the strong progressive scene in the Far East. Full support for their productions comes from Hernan Cattaneo who has been regularly playing the Rockers’ ‘Cosmic Blast’ track, and featured ‘Code 0320’ on his recent Master Series Vol 2 compilation for Renaissance, the label that will also release the track on vinyl.
The original mix is a deep melodic groover, with soft melodies filtering through the track to create a lush soundscape. The breakdown strips the track back to electric pulses of percussion and it’s haunting melody, before the beats return and drive the track onwards.
The remix is similar to the original in most respects, with perhaps a slightly more tribal feel to it. Not one of Renaissance’s strongest releases but ‘Code 0320’ is a solid debut release from Bionic Rockers nonetheless.
