Detritus was born in Oakland, Ca. Raised in the midwest. He discovered his calling when he heard 'The New #2' by Promethium Sphere back in 1992, and finally re-discovered electronic dance in '99 with great artists like Underworld, KMFDM, Roni Size, and Fatboy Slim. Growing up with his best friends Tom and Mike, and being thrown into learning about how the music was made, set the entire world in motion for him, and so the desire for all electronic music was insatiable.
